Kintsugi

The Golden Age DUMA SOLO EXHIBITION 2018 Work in progress for my next solo exhibition, The Golden Age. Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of Kintsugi, this body of work explores reconstruction, transformation, and the beauty that emerges through imperfection. Each piece reflects on the traces left by experience, where fractures are not concealed but embraced as symbols of resilience, renewal, and growth. Through the language of gold, the works celebrate the idea that what has been broken can become stronger, more meaningful, and uniquely beautiful. Rather than seeking perfection, The Golden Age reveals how our wounds, memories, and transformations shape who we are, turning vulnerability into strength and imperfection into a new form of beauty.
